WINDHAM THEATRE GUILD PRESENTS A WTG VARIETY SHOW

September 25, 2014:  The Windham Theatre Guild presents “Spotlight on the Community: A WTG Variety Show” on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 7:30 pm at the Burton Leavitt Theatre.   This fundraiser will highlight the many talents of the Greater Windham Community.  The show will feature storytelling, puppetry, music and more presented by members and friends of the Windham Theatre Guild.

The performers include familiar faces to the WTG stage and some exciting newcomers.   Award-winning storyteller Carolyn Stearns will delight young and old with her ability to draw you into a story.  Rusty Macha, a local singer, actor and barber will light up the stage with his always entertaining and electrifying musical performance.  Carol Hetrick who recently joined us from Minnesota will show off her talents as a puppeteer.  The WTG’s own Kaitie Hartman, will shine the spotlight on Broadway with vocal selections from Jesus Christ Superstar, Next to Normal and The Last Five Years.  A reprise of some additional Broadway numbers from a recent show in Ashford will feature Arminda Kamphausen and friends.  Young Fiddler Sophia Gilchenok brings an international flair with some Irish fiddle music.  Holly Decker will mesmerize the audience with her beautiful voice.  Willimantic’s popular pianist Ruth Hartunian-Alumbaugh will tickle the ivories.  Other surprises also await you on the night of the show.

Tickets are just $10 and can be reserved by calling 860-423-2245 or purchased at the door beginning at 7 pm on October 4th.  Join us for a fun night that celebrates the many talents of the Windham Region while you support your local community theatre.
