Registrations take place in the Recreation office or by mail. If registering by mail, please mail your check or money order to reserve your spot. SPACES WILL NOT BE HELD WITHOUT

PAYMENT.  Payments can be mailed to: Windham Recreation

Department, 979 Main Street, Willimantic, CT 06226. Please make checks payable to WINDHAM RECREATION. Payments must be made at time of registration. Out-of-Town participants are required to pay an additional $10.00 for programs. Please register early, as programs may be cancelled if the minimum number of enrollment is not met two weeks prior to the event/trip.

PROGRAM CANCELLATION: Weather cancellations are aired on WILI AM/FM and WFSB Channel 3.

HOLIDAYS:  Town offices will be closed on the following legal holidays: May 28, July 4, September 5

TOWN HALL HOURS: M-W, 8 am – 5 pm., TH, 8 am – 7:30 pm.

F, 8 am – Noon.

FACILITY USAGE: Park Usage forms are available at the office or

on-line. Forms will be approved by the Recreation Dept., the Police Dept., and the Public Works Dept. Proof of insurance must accompany request form in order to process.

FEE WAIVER: All Windham Recreation programs, excluding bus trips, are eligible for fee waiver. Applications are available at the Windham Human Services office. Call 860-465-3046 for information.

Windham Area Skate Park Grand Opening

Come celebrate the grand opening of Windham’s new skate park! There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by skate board competitions.

Windham Recreation presents Movie in the park. Bring the whole family for a fun night out to watch a family movie under the stars!. Windham Recreation will provide pop corn! Bring lawn chairs & blankets.

Willimantic Public Library Children’s Department

Thursday, June 21. Hands-on demonstrations of cool science &

technology exhibits inside the library. Come in and meet “Froggy”, Windham Public School’s summer mascot. Families will be able to preregister for the Summer Reading Program “Dream Big” and get a bonus ticket for our special summer reading raffles.

Tuesday, July 10. The Children’s Museum of Hartford will bring the night sky indoors with the STARLAB portable planetarium. Each STARLAB presentation is 45 minutes long and can accommodate 25 children.  Register early and reserve your place.

Open wrestling workouts, wrestling, experience not  necessary. Club philosophy: To inspire and train

amateur wrestlers to become Champions on and off the mat. To provide every wrestler the opportunity to learn and improve technically, physically, and mentally in the sport of wrestling. To educate our wrestlers in goal setting, nutrition, mental preparation, visualization techniques, and match

Skate Board Camp @ Lauter Park

This camp is perfect for beginner & intermediate riders. You’ll learn

everything you need to know. Bring all your pads; knee/elbow/wrist & helmet, along with a snack.

Each day your child will have the opportunity to explore a new sport in a safe and fun environment. The morning session will consist of learning skills in each sport followed by lunch and water time. The afternoon will consist of games and skills competitions.

ADVENTURE DAY CAMP @ LAUTER PARK

Times: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM (THERE WILL BE NO PRE/POST CAMP)

This camp is designed to teach team building skills. Campers will learn skills such as how to use a compass, map reading and hiking and other activities dealing with nature. Campers will also have play & swim time. KINDERGARTEN – 4th Grade – (kindergarten must be completed)

Trips are open to teens ages 13 to 17. These will be open to the first six

registered.

6 Flags New England—July 14th, $50 per person
