The Windham Chamber Would Like To Congratulate Willibrew For Winning This Prestigious Award
The Willimantic Brewing Company has been chosen by the editors of Yankee Magazine as “Best Brew in Connecticut” for 2011. This is the first time that the brewing company has been bestowed such an honor. The award was announced in the May 2011 issue of Yankee Magazine, available on newsstands now.
In celebration of this accomplishment, The Willimantic Brewing Company will participate in American Craft Beer Week, May 16 – May 20, 2011. During this event, they will hold a raffle for two tickets to their Summer Beer Dinner and donate the proceeds to The Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut, an organization which partners with many local charities.
About the Willimantic Brewing Company:
The restaurant and pub-brewery makes many different types of beer each month, and features other producers’ craft brews on draught as well. Housed in an historic granite and limestone 1909 U.S. Post Office Building, the pub was the customer lobby and the private dining room housed the postmaster’s office. The main dining room, from where you can view the 7 barrel brewery was the post office work room. The brewpub’s post office-themed menu is overflowing with mouth watering selections, featuring over 100 items including award-winning wings to steaks, pasta, seafood, burgers and salads.
