Villari’s Martial Arts will be hosting its 11th annual charity tournament this Saturday, March 22nd at Hawley Armory, University of CT. Over 200 students of all ages will engage in a friendly martial arts competition to both celebrate their martial arts community, while also raising funds for a local family in need. This year, proceeds will go to a second grade student who attends Goodwin Elementary School. This young girl is confined to a wheelchair, and is in need of some special equipment, including a table with will allow her to better work on her arts and crafts projects.
In addition to five rings filled with martial arts competition, there will be demonstrations from student ranging in age from 5 to 60 years old. There will also be fun activities including face painting, board breaking, caricature drawings, chair massages, and more. The event is open to the public free of charge.
