As Access Health CT continues to evolve and move forward, keeping our focus on our customers and ensuring a positive experience, I would like to announce two internal organizational changes to our Senior Leadership Team, effective immediately.
Shan Jeffreys, who currently serves as AHCT’s Director of Marketplace Strategies, takes on a newly revised role of Chief Operating Officer, managing the internal operations of AHCT. Shan has been with AHCT for more than a year as an employee, and for several years before that as a consultant and advisor. He possesses a wealth of knowledge about the insurance industry, market strategies and product development. Shan holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance and a BA in Finance and Computer Science. James Michel, who currently serves as AHCT’s Director of Operations, takes on the role of Director of Finance. James joined AHCT in 2013 and is an experienced finance manager whose past work includes budgeting, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Previously, he served as Director of Finance for The Metropolitan District (MDC). He has worked within the insurance industry as an Internal Audit Portfolio Director and an Insurance Examiner. James holds an MBA in Finance and Management, as well as an MA in Economics and Accounting and a BS in Accounting. James can be reached at James.Michel@ct.gov.
