Let’s start with the beer! Attendees of the Thread City Hop Fest will enjoy samples from over 45 breweries from throughout New England. The Hop Fest is the largest craft beer tasting in the Quiet Corner and it’s happening in downtown Willimantic! Tickets can be purchased in advance (recommended), $35 per person includes a commemorative tasting glass and access to the visiting brewers. (Proper ID will be required.) Tickets are limited for this event. Some tickets may be available at the gate, and will be $40.

Food and entertainment will be available beginning at 2 p.m. Willimantic will be well represented with some of its best culinary destinations. Willimantic Brewing Company, Cafémantic, A Cupcake for Later, Jamaican Me Crazy, Tony’s Pizza, Tacos La Rosa and Not Only Juice are scheduled to be there with an eclectic mix of delicious fare! But that’s not all. Regional favorites NoRA Cupcake Company, Keifer’s Kettle Korn, Whey Station, Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ, EZ StrEATs and Mercado are all slated to be on hand, too.

Willimantic’s own Vulturetown Arts has taken the lead on organizing the entertainment for the day. Music by Bruce John, Chris Freeman from Parsonsfield, the Hartford Hot Several and the Balkun Brothers will add to the fun of the day. Don’t miss Vulturetown’s mobile art gallery.

Tickets are available now and sales will be limited. Get ‘em while the getting’s good!

The Hop Fest is pleased to welcome TSI Harley-Davidson as our primary sponsor! Their generosity and community mindedness is a great complement to the event.

The Thread City Hop Fest is organized by the Willimantic Brewing Company on behalf of Willimantic Renaissance, Inc. (WRI) Proceeds from the Hop Fest will benefit the No Freeze Project, Vulturetown Arts and WRI – the organization that brings you the 3rd Thursday Street Fest.
