Chamber Promotes Region With “Holiday Round Robin” and Charm Bracelet
The Chamber of Commerce, Windham Region will be hosting a unique program this fall to promote the businesses in the Windham Region. The program is called the “Holiday Round Robin” and will be an open house in a variety of local businesses during the weekend of December 4-5.
“Participating businesses will host an open house the first weekend in December. The most fun and exciting part is that anyone who goes to these businesses can purchase a charm that in someway represents what the business sells or what their service is. If you stop in at all the places in the Round Robin then you will have a really cool charm bracelet unique to this region. The charms will be very reasonably priced in the $1 to $5 range so anyone of any age can create their own charm bracelet. And they make great gifs for the holidays,” said Diane Nadeau, Director of Membership Service at the Chamber.
“Our goal is to promote our ‘Shop Chamber, Shop Local’ campaign while, at the same time, promote local businesses in our region. Not everyone understands the importance of keeping their dollars in their own community. Many people who live here have never visited or shopped in many of the businesses in our Round Robin. It will be a great opportunity for both them, the shoppers, and for our businesses to get to know each other better,” said Nadeau.
Anyone wanting to participate in the Round Robin will be able to buy their bracelet at the Chamber and a couple of selected businesses. Then they can spend the weekend visiting, and hopefully shopping, at the various places on the Round Robin. By the end of the weekend they will have not only learned a great deal about their community and purchased some holiday gifts but they will have a unique charm bracelet for themselves or someone on their holiday shopping list.
