The Last Green Festival

For a limited time The Last Green Festival is  offering special reduced pricing on   3-day passes for just $55/pp ($105 value) for TLGV Members only

This three day music, art, film, food and environmentally-focused zero waste “green” event is sponsored by Vegware US of Danielson, CT and Bond Brothers Entertainment.  A portion of the proceeds will support TLGV.  More than 80 bands will be performing, including leading acts: Jeff Pitchell and The Texas Flood with special guest J. Geils, Third Eye Blind, and Ricky Skaggs.  A third stage has been added and more than 100 food and retail vendors are participating.

This family friendly event will also feature a musical petting zoo, where children of all ages can get up close and personal with a variety of musical instruments.  There will be a Children’s Educational Village that will include special events just for the little ones including:  Kid’s Yoga, Hula Hoop Making, T-Shirt Tie-Dying, Henna Hand and Face Painting, a Recycled Musical Instrument Workshop and Parade, plus a daily Children’s Collective Collage.  A definite must see for children of all ages is Bob Bloom’s Drum Ride.  Bob has a colorful array of drums and percussion instruments for the children to use and to accompany him as he performs all time musical favorites.

Two additional unique venues include an Artisan’s Village spearheaded by Carly Martin of Silver Circle Gallery in Putnam.  This 1,000 square foot open-air gallery will feature the original works created by local and regional artists.

The second venue is entitled, Art in a Box, and will display artwork in the confines of a 27-foot natural and solar-lit trailer.  There will also be a BMX bike exhibition hosted by The Daily Grind bike shop of Danielson and an assortment of environmental speakers, educational exhibits, and a film tent.

To date, local food vendors include: 85 Main, Annie’s Country Kitchen, Creamery Brook Bison, Deb’s, New York Pizza Company, PYZZZ, We-Li-Kit, and Riley’s and there is still an opportunity for more local eateries and businesses to join in.  Other popular food vendors include:  Go Fish and Caseus Fromageria (aka The Cheese Truck) from Boston and Away Café from Weymouth; in addition to the following: Daddy’s Fried Dough, Dough Boy, Faddy’s, Kitty’s Dogs, Munchies Food Truck, Reach, Wicked Good Kettle Corn, and Yukon Kettle Korn to name a few.
