Support the Steeple Chase

Show your philanthropic spirit by supporting the 27th annual Steeple Chase Bike Tour happening on Saturday, August 18, 2018. The charity ride starts and ends at the ECSU Athletic Complex in Mansfield, and includes routes from 20 to 100 miles in length through the area’s winding, low-traffic country roads. For non-bikers, there is also a 5-mile walk route. Registration is $25 per cyclist or $75 per group of four riders and proceeds benefit local social service agencies WAIM, Perception Programs and the Windham No Freeze Project.

Businesses and individuals can also help by sponsoring the event. Sponsorships range from $100 to $5,000 with in-kind donations gratefully accepted. For more information, visit www.steeplechasebiketour.org, or follow the ride on Facebook (@SCbiketour), Twitter (@SCbiketour), Instagram (@steeplechasebiketour) and on LinkedIn.

Last year’s sponsors included the Jeffrey P. Ossen Family Foundation, Colchester Dental Group, Thread City Cyclers, Home Selling Team, ECSU, Sarazin General Contractors, Science Engineering, Altrusa, Meehan & Daughters, the merchants at Gateway Commons, TriCounty Vision and a host of other generous businesses and individuals.\

Supporting the tour can get you publicity. The event has enjoyed coverage on WFSB3, WTNH8, in the Hartford Courant, the Chronicle and many other print and online publications.
