Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Tastes of the Valley!

Tastes of the Valley is our signature fundraising event, and with a sold-out crowd, we raised more than $30,000 for Last Green Valley programs!

We showcased local farms and orchards by pairing products grown, raised and created in The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor with top-notch, local restaurant chefs. This year’s new twist, a sit-down dinner featuring special guest “Farmers at your Table” was a rousing success!

We couldn’t have done it without the support of many people and business partners, starting with The Publick House, our most gracious and accommodating host for the evening.

Thank you to our sponsors: Rebecca Harvey, Fiberoptics Technology, Keith & Elaine Knowlton, Savers Bank, Lake Road Generating, Savings Institute, Nancy Polydys, Putnam Bank, Marge Hoskin, Titan Energy, Jewett City Saving Bank, Cornerstone Bank, Gerardi Insurance, Sara DiIorio, and Village Electric.

Thank you to our farms:  18th Century Purity Farms, Baldwin Brook Farm, Buell’s Orchard, Chase Road Growers, Couet Farm & Fromagerie, Creamery Brook Bison, Devon Point Farm, Ekonk Hill Turkey Farm, The Farmer’s Cow, Fern Hollow Farm, Hart’s Greenhouse & Florist, J&D Farms, Lapsley Orchard, Maple Lane Farms, New Boston Beef, Norm’s Sugar Shack, Palazzi Orchard/DeFazio Orchard and Greenhouses, Select Seeds, Taylor Brooke Winery, The Tiny Acre Farm, Turtle Ledge Farm, Wayne’s Organic Garden, We-Li-Kit Farm, and Woodstock Sustainable Farm.

Thanks to our restaurants and beverage providers: Bella’s Bistro,

The Farmer’s Cow, G Seven Catering Company, Grill 37, Heirloom Food Company, Hosmer Mountain Soda, The Inn at Woodstock Hill, Maple Lane Farms, Renee’s Working Girl Catering Service, Sharpe Hill Vineyard, Sturbridge Coffee Roasters, Taylor Brooke Winery, These Guys Brewing Company, The Vanilla Bean Café, Westford Hill Distillers, and Willimantic Brewing Company.

Thank you to our farmers at the table: Linda Auger – Taylor Brooke Winery; Steven Ayer – Ayer Farm; Sandy and Lou Brodeur – Pakulis Farm; Becky Gendreau – Fern Hollow Farm; Rick and Katie Hermonot – Ekonk Hill Turkey Farm; Paul and Diane Miller – Fairvue Farms & The Farmer’s Cow; Jean and Mark Palazzi – Palazzi Orchard/DeFazio Orchard and Greenhouses; Patty and Jeff Sandness – Buell’s Orchard; Patti and John Wolchesky – Lapsley Orchard; and David Wollner – Willimantic Brewing Company.

And thank you to: all who contributed auction and raffle items; Dot Drobney for the photography; Select Seeds for the centerpieces; Alexander Jolie and Jolie Rentals for AV equipment; Michelle Bernard for the table linens; and a special thank you to our fabulous Tastes of the Valley Committee Chair Laura Moorehead and Vice-Chair Scott Moorehead.

We’re already looking forward to next year!
