The Connecticut DOT is pleased to announce the celebration of the second annual CTrides Week, May 13-17, 2013.
You made it happen
We received such tremendous support last year, that we’re reaching out again to our transportation and community partners to help support this effort.
Governor Dannel P. Malloy will be issuing an official proclamation recognizing May 13-17, 2013 as CTrides Week. This week-long event challenges Connecticut residents to try a “green” commute at least one day during May 13-17. Commuters are encouraged to visit the official event website and registering their pledge to participate online. Additionally, employers throughout the state will be holding CTrides Week events at their worksites in support of this important effort.
The CTrides Week event is intended to promote CTrides, the DOT’s statewide commuter services program which, through its website and outreach programs, provides free information and assistance to help commuters discover convenient and affordable travel alternatives to driving alone.
Action needed at this time:
– CTrides will make available printed or electronic .pdf documents, whichever you prefer.
– For now, we’re looking for a count of printed materials you would need to post in your vehicles and around your facilities.
– Or if you prefer electronic materials please let us know.
– See attached pdf for the event kit and let us know which materials you want and how many.
We’ll be send you more ways to participate and assisting in this initiative in the next few weeks.
