November 1, 2017 Pomfret, CT . . .Please join us for our annual holiday Saint Nicholas Victorian Fair (where admission is free) at Christ Church located on Route 169 in Pomfret, CT on Saturday, December 2nd (snow date is Saturday, December 9th) from 10 to 2 with a homemade luncheon being served from 11 to 1. Proceeds from the fair are allocated to support local outreach programs including Access Agency, TEEG, Battered Women’s Shelter, ARC of Quinebaug Valley, Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, and the Community Kitchen.
This well attended event is famous for its many “themed booths” that cater to various shopping specialties. Making its debut this season is the Pick-a-Pocketbook Booth where new or barely used pocketbooks will be sold. Other booths include: Spectacular Silent Auction featuring an expansive array of gift cards and exclusive offerings; Chocolate Extravaganza & Homemade Fudge with decadent & decoratively wrapped sweets; Vermont Cheddar Cheese for your holiday hors d’oeuvres; Holiday Craft Table with clothes for 18″ dolls and other handmade creations; Give it Again with new and unused gifties; Holiday Bakery & Cookies by the Bag with enough varieties to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth; Bottle Board where you can take a chance to win bottles filled with items from A to Z ; Costume & Vintage Jewelry with an eclectic array of baubles; Toy Booth for gently used toys; Pampered Pet healthy treats for cat & dogs; Expanded Book Nook located in the church’s beautiful library-in-the-round, where gently used books will be sold; Basket Raffle with beautifully wrapped themed baskets containing “teen” related gifts or “dining-out” gift cards, and the Plant Booth featuring locally grown plants & poinsettias. Locally handcrafted Holiday Balsam and Mixed Green Wreaths are also available for sale outside the church.
