POP-UP GALLERY inaugurates WindhamARTS exhibit season at Bassetts Bridge Farm

WindhamARTS, the region’s State-designated Local Arts Agency, hosts a one night only “pop-up” gallery, Friday, July 27th from 6-9PM. All works shown will be for sale by Eastern Connecticut Artists & Members of WindhamARTS.

The exhibit and reception will be held at “Mansfield’s Best Kept Secret”—the Gardens at Bassetts Bridge Farm. “The grounds are simply extraordinary, a work of art in itself, with an arboretum, pond, and areas for contemplation,” states WindhamARTs director, Mary Oliver.  Guests can enjoy a beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres reception for a nominal fee, (special prices for members). Located at 552 Bassetts Bridge Road, the Gardens are easy to get to—1 mile off Route 6 in Chaplin—1 mile from Mansfield Hollow State Park off Route 195 in Mansfield.

“We are excited to host this and other monthly events in each of our area communities.” continued Oliver. “Our next event is August 24th at the historic Hampton Community Center, formerly the Little River Grange. We look forward to showcasing gems of each community as a location for other “pop-up” galleries throughout the year.” For more information, call 860.423.6389 x14 or online at WindhamARTS.org

There is still space available for artists who would like to show in Mansfield this Friday.
