Music on the Bridge at the Garden on the Bridge; New Concert Series!

Music on the Bridge at the Garden on the Bridge (MOB @the GOB) begins its new series of concerts for your pleasure starting on Sunday, June 5th at 5pm.  In concert with the Victorian Home Tours, the Victorian Neighborhood Association and McClintock Roofing sponsors this first ever concert on the bridge during their popular home tour weekend.  Ruth Hartunian-Alumbaugh, concert organizer, invites people of all ages and stages of life to enjoy this FREE concert, a gift to the community.

Bring your blanket, lawn chairs, floppy hat, a picnic (or purchase food that may be available on site and nearby!), your toe-tapping shoes and get ready for an hour of relaxation, fun, and beauty as you listen to music and enjoy the blooming bounty of the Garden on the Bridge.  Restroom facilities are nearby at the Windham Textile Museum, for your convenience.

Ruth is seeking sponsors for the July and August concerts which will take place on the 3rd of July and 7th of August.  On the third, you’ll be treated to the music of the Quiet Corner Fiddlers.  And for the finale, you’ll enjoy mystery musical guests on August 7th.  These two month’s worth of concerts will occur at 3pm (please note time difference between June and July/August).  If your club or organization has a million dollars worth of insurance, a big heart, and would trust Ruth to bring these concerts to the town, please contact her at the information below!  There is no cost to you.  You just provide the insurance to cover the event, as the Town of Windham requires.

Donations will be gratefully accepted at all concerts, if you wish to give.  Call or email Ruth at 860-423-9156 or ruthhalumbaugh@gmail.com for further information.  And be listening to the radio (WILI) and be checking your local paper for other details as they become available.  There are currently no rain dates.
