Willimantic, CT – Internationally-renowned master drummer M’Bemba Bangoura will lead a class in West African Dance during Eastern Connecticut State University’s University Hour on Oct. 24 from 3-4 p.m. in the Betty R. Tipton Room of the Student Center. The public is invited. Admission is free.
According to Starsheemar Byrum, coordinator of the Intercultural Center, “Audience members will have the opportunity to learn about and experience the culture of Guinea, West Africa, through the medium of their eyes and bodies. All participants and observers are guaranteed a positive, engaging and uplifting experience.”
