As many of you may already know, Leigh Duffy – the executive director of the Windham Region No Freeze Project in Willimantic – is leaving at the end of May after eight years of dedication to people struggling with homelessness in our community.
Leigh has chosen not to accept a celebration or a gift to recognize her years of tireless work. So the No Freeze board of directors has created an alternative way to honor her while simultaneously helping people at risk of homelessness.
We have established The Leigh Duffy Diversion Fund that will forever become part of the No Freeze budget. By contributing to this fund, you will help people get back on their feet and obtain housing. In the past, diversion money has been used to provide rent deposits, secure legal documents like IDs required to apply for housing, purchase nights in hotels, board pets so their owners could remain in housing, and support countless other acts of kindness.

Every dollar you donate will be used to help people at risk of homelessness to stay off the streets.
If you would rather not make a donation online, you can contribute by sending a check payable to the Windham Region No Freeze Project. Please note in the memo that the money should be put toward the Leigh Duffy Diversion Fund. Then mail your check to:
