Health Insurance Distribution Channel
HARTFORD, CT — Harvard Pilgrim Health Care announced today that is has joined Chamber Insurance Trust, which will enable it to offer health insurance plans to employers who purchase coverage through chambers of commerce throughout Connecticut. CIT serves as a health insurance distribution channel for chambers, providing an easy way for employer members to purchase health insurance for their employees.
Harvard Pilgrim Health Care is Connecticut’s newest entrant into the health insurance marketplace. The not-for-profit health services company expanded into the state earlier this year after opening an office in downtown Hartford.
“CIT provides us with an efficient way to offer our health insurance products to businesses throughout Connecticut,” said Vincent Capozzi, Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Harvard Pilgrim. “We are happy to join the CIT family.”

JoAnn Ryan, President and CEO of Northwest Connecticut’s Chamber of Commerce and chair of the CIT Leadership Cabinet, praised the addition of Harvard Pilgrim to CIT’s distribution channel. “The more choice we can offer to our members, the better. Our goal is to give employers a strong array of health insurance products from leading health insurance companies so that they can choose the plans that work best for their employees,” she said.
