Revolutionary Views Photo Contest
The Connecticut Office of Tourism’s fall photo contest, Revolutionary Views (details at the link) has launched and runs through October 12. Please help spread the word about this program on your social channels by encouraging your visitors, friends and followers to participate. All participants have to do is share a photo of a beautiful fall view in Connecticut – this can be your property or attraction, a landscape view, a destination view, interior view, etc. – any image that they think is reflective of fall and Connecticut. For inspiration see what’s already been submitted here.
What You Get: If your destination is pictured in the most photos submitted by users, you will earn marketing support from COT (social support, newsletter inclusion, and a call out on CTvisit.com).
What You Can Do:
• Set up an official place on your property where people can take photos and share on their Twitter and Instagram channels with the hashtag #CTviews
• Share the effort on social media using the #CTviews hashtag on Twitter and Instagram
You, your visitors, friends and family can participate in the contest by sharing a photo on the Visit Connecticut Facebook Tab titled “Revolutionary Views” or on Twitter and Instagram (Connecticut Office of Tourism’s newly launched channel).
Long Lead PR Opportunities
The Connecticut Office of Tourism is preparing for long-lead media outreach for national print publications and is requesting that you share any exciting news or events you have happening this winter or in 2015 that might be of interest to media. This could include special anniversaries, new offerings, property expansions or promotions you’re offering to draw winter visitations. Please send your winter event news to Connecticut Office of Tourism to the attention of Kelsey Varwig, Kelsey.Varwig@fleishman.com and copy Jean Hebert, jean.hebert@ct.gov.

2015 Visitors Guide Advertising Opportunities
It’s time to start thinking about the 2015 edition of the Connecticut Visitor’s Guide! This full-color guide continues to be the official resource for visitors with information on attractions, accommodations, outdoor adventures, and shopping throughout Connecticut. The Connecticut Office of Tourism is continuing its partnership with Madden Media for the production of the 2015 guide.
The Connecticut Visitor’s Guide is the only visitor publication that reaches consumers before their visit and it serves as the primary fulfillment piece for individuals who respond to Connecticut marketing and advertising programs. To see the 2014 edition, please click here. For 2015, printed copies of the guide will be distributed and a digital edition and iPad version will be available, making the guide even more accessible.
