The Chamber of Commerce, the Franklin Lions Club, the Franklin Volunteer Fire Dept and the Franklin Boy Scouts are partnering to bring you the second annual “Dirty Dash” mud run and obstacle course.
The event is held over two days. Participants can chose the day and time they wish to compete and “answer the challenge”. All efforts will be made to accommodate participants selections but no guarantees are made. You will be notified if your choice is not available.
The course is a 2.5 mile run with jumps, crawls and obstacles including: 2 climbing walls, a 25’ rope climb, a 75’ mud pit, a hay bale climb, uneven bars and balance beam. Runners will be timed during both days and the “Dirty Dash” winners will be announced the following week.
EMT’s will be on location and there will be spotters throughout the course. Water is provided.
The fire department will be cooking lunch for anyone who wishes to purchase a meal or beverage.
About 25 runners will be started every twenty minutes starting at 9:00 AM. You must arrive 40 minutes prior to your start time to properly register. Please bring a photo ID. The event will be held at Giddings Field, 191 Pond Rd, N. Franklin. Parking is available.
All efforts will be made to keep your times selected and to keep groups together. If you are registering a group please do so all together to insure you will all be in the same bracket.
