If you applied for the PUA as an independent contractor, self-employed person you may have received your confirmation email today. Many people received an email saying their application was being processed and then gave you a long list of things to do to continue getting your unemployment each week. If you have not been a W2 employee, you will get a letter in the mail in about a week or so that tells you what your UI weekly benefit will be. It should say $0. That is your regular unemployment “denial” and it will be mailed to you the old fashion way. When you get the letter you can then go back to FILING UNEMPLOYMENT and click on the red button for PUA and apply there. You will need your income records, 1099 forms or schedule C of your taxes.
