Charter Oak Federal Credit Union has awarded $16,100 to nine local community groups as part of its third-quarter funding.
Grant recipients include the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra; Hospice Southeastern CT; Noank-Mystic Community Band; New London Youth Affairs; New London Community Orchestra; Thames River Family Program; Martin House, Inc.; Thread City Development, Inc. and the Eastern Connecticut Ballet.
Charter Oak is proud to support these organizations and their local initiatives. Funding will be used to introduce school-aged children to the performing arts; enhance the care terminally ill patients receive; increase school readiness skills through early childhood programs and provide employment services for those needing to re-enter the workforce.
Since the inception of the Community Giving Program in 2009, Charter Oak has given more than a half million dollars to local community and non-profit groups. The Community Giving Program provides grants and sponsorships to organizations serving the residents of New London and Windham counties.
Community Giving Grant Application Forms will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. The next deadline is October 1st. To learn more about Charter Oak’s Community Giving Program, visit www.CharterOak.org.
