Join manufacturers and other industry leaders, elected officials, educators, and workforce development professionals as we:
• discuss the future of manufacturing in Connecticut
• get pro-growth policies in place
• set the stage for the upcoming legislative session
Topics will include recommendations developed through the National Governors Association (NGA) Policy Academy on advanced manufacturing and the role the new legislative Manufacturing Caucus will play in advancing manufacturing issues in the General Assembly. A panel of industry leaders will also discuss policy priorities needed to move Connecticut manufacturing forward.
Hear about major policy and implementation opportunities in Connecticut, current challenges, and the state’s strategic plan for linking advanced manufacturing to other state goals—job creation, diversifying energy resources, supporting emerging technologies and industries, aligning education and workforce development with the needs of business, and promoting the state’s core industries.
