BUSINESS SUCCESS: SWEET EMOTIONS CANDY Celebrates One Year of Business in Storrs Center!

Sweet Emotions Candy, the first Storrs Center business new to Storrs, is celebrating its first anniversary of business. Sweet Emotions Candy is the Loudest Candy Store in the Quiet Corner boasting 400+ Candies in stock and the Largest Candy Counter in Connecticut. Sweet Emotions Candy features everything from Gummy Pigs to Gourmet Chocolates. Sweet Emotions Candy carries many locally made confections from communities including Willimantic, Hampton, Old Saybrook, Meriden, and New Britain. Sweet Emotions Candy provides unique services, not typical to candy stores, including Custom Candy Bouquets, Candy Buffets, Kids Candy Birthday Parties, Candy Delivery, and Candy of the Month Club.

Sweet Emotions is more than just a candy store, it is also a candy catering and gift shop! Sweet Emotions Candy is a banner example of the success of Storrs Center. As a startup business in a market where there had not previously been a candy store and in Storrs Center’s untried commercial venue, Sweet Emotions has been highly successful. Sweet Emotions Candy success is Storrs Center’s success and vice-versa. In its first year of business, Sweet Emotions Candy has succeeded financially and has successfully become an integral part of the local communities.

Sweet Emotions Candy has created nearly a dozen jobs and has partnered to do business with community entities including the University ofConnecticut, Mansfield Community Center, Windham Chamber of Commerce, E.O. Smith and Windham High Schools, Windham Hospital, and others. With this ever expanding circle of commerce, Sweet Emotions will create additional employment in the coming years.

Sweet Emotions will celebrate its one year anniversary on Wednesday,

October 23rd, 5:30p.m.-7:00p.m. at Sweet Emotions Candy, Storrs Center, 9 Dog Lane, Storrs, CT. There will be refreshments, giveaways and prizes, and the music of “Casual Don & the Recliners.” All are invited to attend!
