Join Us At Our Annual Awards Dinner & Ceremony
We are pleased to announce our annual Awards Dinner & Ceremony will be at the end of May this year.
Each year the Chamber gives awards to exceptional businesses in the region that have been exemplary in their industry. Nominations will be accepted for the awards by sending us an email at info@WindhamChamber.com. The awards are given for activity during 2013. Nominees must qualify for an award by being a Chamber member for the entire year of 2013, must have completed their accomplishments in the year 2013, and must be a current member of the Chamber. In addition to recognition, award winners will receive a dinner and a plaque. For more information please contact Diane Nadeau at the Chamber at 860-423-6389. Please register in advance no later than 12pm on 05/27/2014. No Exceptions. Please respect our host and register on time so they can provide accurate headcount to the caterer. Please do not show up at the door. Thank You.
AWARDS
Business of the Year: This award is given to a business which has expanded through physical and/or employment growth, and has exhibited commitment to civic engagement.
New Business of the Year: This award is given to a new establishment which has been in business less than two years and has invested in the physical appearance and the economic viability of the community it services.
Corporate Citizen of the Year: This award goes to an individual or an institution that has made very measurable contributions to community betterment over a period of time and whose efforts will continue to significantly benefit the community and the region in the future
Community Revitalization: This award goes to an individual or an institution that has made efforts and contributions toward building community and improving the look and feel of the local area.
Golden Time Card: This award goes to an individual or an institution that has made efforts toward improving the number of available jobs by supplying the community with the most number of jobs.
Board Member of the Year: This award is given to a Board member who sets a standard for dedication to the vision and mission of the Chamber and, in so doing, inspires others to serve and to assume leadership responsibilities.
Community Service: This award is given to an individual, organization, or agency exhibiting extraordinary concern for the welfare and betterment of the people in their community and region by providing needed services and by creating partnerships.
Volunteer of the Year:This award is given to a Chamber member who shows dedication to the Chamber by regularly volunteering their time for events, projects and activities that further the strategic plan and thus benefit the economic development of the region.
Ambassador: This award is given to a Chamber member who best promotes the vision and mission of the Chamber to both our membership and the community.
Earth Award: This award is given to recognize a business that goes above and beyond by either producing environmentally friendly products or by using green/energy efficient products or processes for the delivery of their product or service.
Chairperson of the Year: This award recognizes an outstanding leader who makes a Chamber event or program a success through their enthusiasm, insight and guidance.
Technology Award:This award recognizes a business which shows outstanding knowledge of the IT universe and applies it to better themselves, their community and other businesses in the Windham Region.
Innovative Education Award: This new award recognizes an educational institution or program for thinking outside of the box giving opportunities for young students to grow and achieve their educational or career goals.
Philanthropist of the Year: This award recognizes an individual who shows consistent selfless giving to organizations, charities or causes in their community. Their contributions are not only financial but include their participation and leadership support.
Wellness Award: This award recognizes a person or business that promotes health and wellness in their community through education and example.
Hispanic Business of the Year: This award recognizes a Hispanic establishment which has invested in the physical appearance and the economic viability of the community it services.
