Access Community Action Agency Job Fair Attracts Over 200 Job Seekers and 20 EmployersClimb the Ladder to a Better Future, a job training and placement assistance program at Access Community Action Agency, hosted a Job Fair on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Gold Eagle Banquet Hall in Dayville. Twenty area businesses were in attendance and connected with over 200 job seekers.
Job seekers came dressed for interviews and were able to fill out applications and speak with employers about open positions. The businesses in attendance called the fair a huge success, finding several qualified candidates for open positions. Participating businesses represented employers from a variety of job sectors, including retail, food, entertainment, manufacturing, transportation and health care.Climb the Ladder is a program that can empower people to find the job or training needed to support their families. The program works with individuals that have had a difficult time finding employment. The employment manager determines each client’s employment needs and provides job placement assistance and one-on-one job counseling.
